Nutritional and Dietary Care
Counseling and education services are also provided to our patients through our registered dietitian/certified diabetes educator. Services include:
- Dietary counseling for surgical, OB, and medical patients and outpatients
- Dietary consultations for those who need therapeutic diets, nutrition screening, and assessment
- Help for individuals with diabetes
- Assistance with low fat/low cholesterol diets
The Registered Dietitian on staff, who is also a Certified Diabetes Educator, helps patients with such things as nutrition recommendations, label reading, food preparation upon returning home, and tips for healthy dining out. She is available to serve patients in all areas, including surgery, cardiac rehab, med/surg, and outpatient clinics.
