Meet the Queen of Peace Anesthesiology Staff
Jean Nusbaum, M.D.
Jean Nusbaum, M.D. is board certified with the National Board of Medical Examiners and the American Board of Anesthesiologists.
She earned a degree in biochemical sciences from Harvard University and completed medical school at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Nusbaum served both her internship and residency at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland.
Dr. Nusbaum was commissioned as a lieutenant in the United States Navy in 1989 and is a member of both the American Society of Anesthesiologists and the Minnesota Society of Anesthesiologists.
Carmelle McHarg, CRNA, MS
Carmelle McHarg, CRNA, MS has been a nurse anesthetist at Queen of Peace since 2005. Prior to that, she worked at Prairie Lakes Hospital in Watertown, SD and United & Children's Hospital of St Paul.
Carmelle earned a Master's Degree from the University of Minnesota and the Minneapolis VA Medical Center, and her bachelor of science degree from South Dakota State University.
Carmelle's passion is pediatric anesthesia. She enjoys making the experience fun and pain-free for every child.
Bruce Stupica, CRNA
Bruce Stupica, CRNA has been a nurse anesthetist at Queen of Peace since 1993. He has 30 years experience as a board certified nurse anesthetist.
Bruce received his training at St Paul Ramsey Anesthesia Program. He is also a graduate of Indian River College of Nursing & Florida Atlantic University.
Bruce has a special interest in high-risk anesthesia, difficult airway management, and regional anesthesia.
Michelle Wessells, CRNA, MS
Michelle Wessells, CRNA, MS has been a nurse anesthetist at Queen of Peace since 2006. Prior to that, she worked at Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina and Truman Medical Center in Kansas City.
Michelle earned her Master's Degree from the University Medical Center — Kansas City and the Truman School of Nurse Anesthesia. She earned her bachelor of science degree from Bradley University.
Michelle specailizes in obstetrical anesthesia and regional anesthesia.
