Queen of Peace Hospital CEO & Trustee Appointed to Positions on
Minnesota Hospital Association Board

Thomas Dressel, MD(NEW PRAGUE, MN - December 22, 2009) – The CEO of Queen of Peace Hospital, Mary Klimp, was recently named as Chair Elect of the Minnesota Hospital Association (MHA) board of directors. Hospital board member, Jim Morris, was elected to the 30-member board as Trustee Director. The association represents Minnesota's hospitals and health systems.

"Mary and Jim are dedicated leaders with valuable expertise," said MHA President and CEO Lawrence Massa. "We know they will add to Minnesota hospitals' tradition of excellence."

Klimp has served as CEO at Queen of Peace Hospital since 2003. Prior to this, she served as CEO at Falls Memorial Hospital, International Falls, MN.

This is Klimp's fifth year on the MHA board of directors. She holds Fellow status in the American College of Healthcare Executives, demonstrating a commitment to professional excellence. Klimp is also a member of the American Hospital Association's Regional Policy Board.

Jim Morris will serve as Trustee Director for the board. "The association depends on robust leadership from its board members," said MHA President and CEO Lorry Massa. "These officers are highly qualified to help work with the rest of the board to address the challenges facing health care in our state," Massa said. "We know their insights and dedication will only add to Minnesota's tradition for health care excellence."
