Charles T. Jones, M.D., Earns Board Certification in Sleep Medicine
from the American Board of Internal Medicine

Charles T. Jones, M.D.(NEW PRAGUE, MN - March 11, 2010) — Queen of Peace Hospital of New Prague, Minnesota, is pleased to announce that Charles T. Jones, M.D., internist, has recently earned his board certification in Sleep Medicine from the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM).

ABIM works to enhance the quality of health care by certifying internists and subspecialists who demonstrate the knowledge, skills and attitudes essential for excellent patient care. A growing body of research suggests that board certification demonstrates to the public that physicians have met the highest standards of internal medicine and its subspecialties. Board certification is voluntary and includes an exam that tests a physician's ability to diagnose and treat patients with a broad range of conditions.

Dr. Jones is the medical director of the sleep medicine program at Queen of Peace Hospital and specializes in the evaluation and management of the full range of adult sleep disorders including insomnia, narcolepsy and obstructive sleep apnea. He is also board certified in the practice of internal medicine, providing both inpatient and outpatient internal medicine consultations.

Patients can be referred for either sleep medicine or internal medicine consultation by their primary care providers or can arrange to see Dr. Jones by calling 952.758.WELL (9355) and setting up an appointment for an initial evaluation.
