Queen of Peace Monitors H1N1 Novel Influenza ("Swine Flu") Outbreak
(NEW PRAGUE, MN - April 30, 2009) – Hospitals across the nation, including Queen of Peace, are concerned about an outbreak of H1N1 Novel Influenza, also called "swine flu," and specifically its appearance in Minnesota.
(Updated 8/11/09: Le Sueur County Public Health officials are working with local health care providers, including hospitals and clinics and the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH), to investigate a cluster of influenza-like illnesses in workers at a food processing plant in Montgomery, Minnesota. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) are issuing frequent updates and notifications regarding the evolving situation, and Queen of Peace is monitoring the situation closely.
