Our Mission
The Queen of Peace Foundation has a single, simple mission — to support the healthcare mission of Queen of Peace Hospital in providing high-quality, community-based medical care to the residents of the communities we serve.
Through Century Club memberships, special gifts and bequests, fundraising events, the generosity of our donors and friends have allowed the Foundation to provide modernized technology and equipment, improved facilities, and community programs for Queen of Peace Hospital patients.
Recent Acquisitions
Recent acquisitions have included:
- Cardiac exercise test machine
- Cryostat machine to assist with testing of tissue samples during surgery
- Mammography equipment
- Radiology equipment
- Blood pressure machine at The Fitness Center
- Crib for pediatric patients in our Medical/Surgical Unit
- iPod music player for patients undergoing chemotherapy treatment
In addition, the Foundation is improving local diagnostic and treatment options for women of all ages by funding medical technology at Queen of Peace's Women's Health Center. Through generous donor support, the Foundation has already provided over $100,000 for Women's Health technology and secured an additional $100,000 in cash and pledges toward our $250,000 multi-year target. Contributions to our Women's Health Initiatives make a tremendous difference as we strive to fund much-needed but increasingly costly medical equipment.
